SCAD Summer Seminars offer
workshops for high school students who have completed their freshman, sophomore
or junior years. Students have the opportunity to gain a valuable educational
experience while trying their hands at exciting art and design assignments and
projects.
Students attend one
morning and one afternoon workshop each day at SCAD Atlanta or SCAD Savannah,
where they have access to the university's extensive facilities, resources and
libraries. Workshops may include demonstrations, lectures, studio work and local
field trips. Courses are taught by SCAD professors or selected graduate
students. A closing exhibition of student work is held at the end of each
session.
Savannah College of Art
and Design was founded in 1978. Offering more degree programs and
specializations than any other art and design university, SCAD is uniquely
qualified to prepare talented students for professional, creative careers. SCAD
is available in five locations worldwide including Savannah, Atlanta, Hong Kong,
Lacoste (France), and eLearning.
